Introduction

This workshop equips managers with practical approaches to manage staff from a diversed generation. You will learn the various useful skills and practical techniques to obtaining the desired results from your generational diverse team. Find out what the different generations bring to work, their behaviour and how you can make good use of their strengths. There will be many work-related role-play cases for managers to learn how to work and get the best out of the team.

    • Experience sharing on characteristics, motivation and limitations ~ how to deal with these scenarios
    • Is the team combination a choice or a given scenario?
    • Let’s start from the recruitment process or press the reset button (group role-play and discussion sessions)
  2. Managing the Generations
    • All the age-based assumptions vs your experience
    • How to adapt to them and make them adapt to you and the organisation
    • Talking to your team and getting consensus (role-play sessions)
    • Working on your communication skills
    • Group role-play on getting consensus again!
  3. Managing Performance and Results from Different Generations
    • Giving feedback to Boomers, X, Y and Z (role-play sessions)
    • Practical tips to managing strawberry generation, helicopter parents and obstinate seniors
    • Employee retention – yes or no and how to do it
About the Facilitator

Audrey Loh has more than 15 years of managerial experience in sales, marketing and customer service with multi-national companies in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to her current role, she is a marketing director at Motorola where she manages many teams and often has to use her communication and interpersonal skills.
